Self-rescue Essential.
Just finished my SKL Assessment and although my first choice of self rescue is a re-entry roll I have one of these as a back up secured behind my seat. When I'm tired and I want to take it slow and steady back into the boat then this Lomo paddlefloat is ace. Lots of buoyancy in 2 chambers. Fixes securely to the paddle. I find I can still roll and paddle with the float attached. When back in, I normally just stow inflated between my legs until the next quiet water opportunity to deflate and store more efficiently. You need to practice with this before relying on it but once familiar you won't leave home without it.

Mic clip
Could not find anything as cheap and this does the job. The ones with a plastic holder for the mic are a little bit more discrete but if that's an issue pay a lot more and be happy.

Right wood screw for certain jobs
Needed one of these to fix the foot of a bedding box. Worked fine so can't complain but on reflection I think I would have just cut the head off an ordinary screw and grinded a point. You have to drill the holes to the right diameter and depth anyway otherwise they don't screw in evenly. Convenient product but pricey.
