Old but still very useful
This is an older motherboard but it has lots to like about it. 6Sata ports means you can have lots of hard drives and the old USB 2.0 port was what I needed to get my fax modem working. Lots to like here. Just not good for real demanding tasks.

Great program with no annual fees to keep it running
1 of 1 found this helpful If you can get a copy of this program get it. It runs very well on machines equipped with Windows 10 operating system. Plus unlike the current versions you don't have to pay extra subscription fees each year. I do know that some version of this program have an install program. If that happens to you there is a patch program you can get from Microsoft that corrects the install problems. I have three copies of this program and only had the problem once.

Nice Tape recorder but watch out for the gooey mess that might be inside.
0 of 1 found this helpful The Teac X-10 and other Teac machines with dual capstan drives that are over 35 years old came with a capstan drive belt that over time will turn into a gooey tar like mess that will need to be replaced. Replacing the belts also includes delousing the dual capstan flywheel mechanisms that has remnants of the gooey belts all over them. A really dirty nasty job.
You will see listings for Teac Reel to Reel Dual Capstan tape recorders that power up and the forward and reverse motors will move the reels. But play does not work or has not been tested. If you come across listing with no tape movement that means the gooey mess will need to be fixed when you get the machine. Then you can replace the Capstan belt.
Some of these machines can have a very nasty problem where the moving tape will not stay flush against the record play heads in one direction or another. The way the fly wheels reverse or change direction is almost magic. If your Capstan rubber is new and your drive and rewind motors are in good shape and someone has not swapped your two fly wheels around then the tape slack problems will disappear. I did notice some problems with .5 mm thin tape being very finicky.
With all that said I really do like the Teac X-10R and once you do the required maintenance you will love it also. But watch out for the gooey mess when you take the back cover off.
If your going to part it out. You can probably make a few extra bucks. Many valuable parts. The Capstan drive motor can bring in $125 or more.
