Review of latest Blasters effort
Of course I am totally biased in favor of Phil Alvin and the current Blasters line-up -- because I just saw them live in Albany, NY and had the honor of hanging out with Phil after the show...aside from that...this newest effort is outstanding. One would think that with age musicians loose their ability, power and touch -- but with the Blasters (with or without Dave) this is not the case. The vocals are strong, and Phil's version of brother Dave's "Dry River" is probably one of the better workings of the songs I have heard in recent memory. Phil's title track "4-11-44" is an anthem for any of us who have bought that lotto ticket hoping to hit the big one. "Julie" is written in the vein of classic Blasters tunes. This album is not to be missed, and if you have the opportunity to see them live, by all means, you simply must go! I say buy it from the band…but if not…buy it here.

Nice Samsung 8, works well, good screen, lone flaw is battery runs hot, but that's to be expected in a phone of this age, and since I refuse to upgrade to a newer phone it is what it is. Overall very happy with this equipment.

The Blasters newest effort...
