Tung-Sol 7581A Power Tubes
3 of 3 found this helpful After reading some reviews online I thought I would give them a try in my PrimaLuna Prologue Premium integrated amp. I have tried several tubes in the past year including Tung-Sol KT150, Siemens RFT EL34, SED Winged C EL34, Gold Lion KT77 reissue and the latest Mullard EL34 reissue. So far my favorite as been the GL KT77's as they have the somewhat sweet midrange of the EL34's but have extended bass and treble plus a huge 3 dimensional soundstage. I've had the 7581A's in the amp for about 8 hours now and I can say with confidence these tubes rival the best I've heard. They have full spectrum sound along with a large soundstage plus great tone like mose of the EL34 types I have heard. I would recommend these tubes for those that want nearly the best out there at a fraction of the cost of most. These are truly fantastic tubes and an incredible value.

Phenomenal Tubes
2 of 2 found this helpful These tubes are the best I have tried in my PrimaLuna Prologue Premium integrated amp. I have used the Siemens RFT EL34, SED Winged =C= EL34, Mullard reissue EL34, JJ EL34L, KT77 and KT88 plus the Tung-Sol KT150. The Siemens were close but did not have the full spectrum sound that these have. I was also surprised with the midrange of these tubes. I was expecting less but I got more than I thought. They create a tremendous 3D soundstage, at least with my GoldenEar Triton One speakers. I know tubes are totally system (and room) dependent but these at definitely at the top of my list, at least with the tubes I have tested. If your amp can support these tubes, they are worth an audition. I have put all thoughts of the expensive NOS tubes behind me although I will be keeping my quads of the Siemens for future use. The Mullard reissue are really good tubes too, better than I had expected. Just a little softer on top and not as involving as these Gold Lions.
