Best Buy
2 of 2 found this helpful I picked up the i7-3770 cpu with 16GB of ram and used it to upgrade an 1155 socket motherboard that had an i5 cpu in it with 16GB ram. Now I've got 32GB ram (the board has four slots) and the i7.
The best thing about this purchase is the cost. I bought the whole kit (i7 and ram) for around the price of the cpu by itself which means I got a 16GB ram upgrade for free!
The purchase went smoothly, I got a tracking number, the item was package well in a non-static bag and lots of bubble wrap.
I saved a lot of money by buying used parts. In the past I've spent thousands of dollars buying new only to see the value reduce to zero over time; buying computer components has been an expensive hobby. The i5 I upgraded from was an upgrade from a core2 quad. The i5 was also a used cpu from Ebay, and since then I've sold the i5 for about 70% of what I'd paid for it twelve months earlier.
If anyone is looking for a cheaper way to keep their computer relative fast, do your homework, work out what parts you need, and take a look on Ebay.
Good hunting!

Keeping it alive
I have an aging core2 quad 9650 with 4GB ram. The GTX750 has recently taken the place of my also aging GTX460. One of the main reasons for the replacement is that the GTX750 uses around one third the power for around the same, or more, performance, not to mention a lot cheaper compared to when I bought the 460 when it was new.
The GTX750 in conjunction with a SSD HDD has been a great way to get the most out of my current system, and who knows, if the GTX950 comes down in price there might be room to squeeze even more life out of it.

MIssing ON/OFF swich
The product is a 9v battery case. It arrived in a timely manner, however, the description claims to have an on/off switch. This proved to be false because there is no on/off switch which was the main reason for its purchase. The description is misleading and needs changing. Other than the missing on/off function considering the low price it was not worth bothering with any dispute and the item has been relegated to come-in-handy-one-day box.
