False advertising; does not amplify the sound signal
When the volume control are at the highest levels and the USB plugged in, the sound is not any louder than with a plain ordinary cable, and a plain ordinary cable gives better quality sound than this thing. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because I'm not a gamer and I don't know about the gaming features, but false advertising is a fundamental problem. I happened to buy this because of an advertised feature that it turned out not to have, but if I were a gamer and I knew that the amplification claim was false I probably wouldn't have much confidence in the other advertised features.

This might be useful if the indentation around the central hole wasn't so deep that the potentiometer shaft couldn't reach the hole.
Just what the title said. I initially rated this lower but I want to allow for some people having devices this works with. It's a chunk of metal; it would be useful if it fit. I didn't get a good enough sense of how narrow and deep that indentation area is from the pictures. That was partly my mistake, but watch out; this is not a general purpose product. It wasn't the same color either but I didn't care about that. Somebody might have something somewhere that has a compatible shape, but I haven't been able to find anything that does. Now I have a useless hunk of metal. I would say more but then eBay would censor my review. Oh look, eBay censored my review and rating both.

I used to use this a lot, and it can be useful, but I found that it slowly damages plastic after looking OK at first.
What the title subject says, not much to add now.
