Not as good as the originals
Its just bent sheet metal, but when compared to the originals they are not as good. And for what they are they are expensive, I should have just made my own.

Derale 13504 Series 8000 Plate and Fin Transmission Oil Cooler

High quality cooler
I researched a lot of trans coolers and found this model by Derale one of the best. It's a quality made unit and includes everything needed to install it in my 2002 Avalanche. Heat is the main killer of automatic transmissions, and even tho my pickup had the cooler in the radiator and oem optional towing package which included a small trans cooler in front of the radiator; the transmission still ran much too hot when pulling my car trailer. I've since rebuilt the transmission, added the deep 4x4 trans oil pan and filter, this Derale oil cooler, and a transmission oil temp gauge. Now I can monitor the temperature while towing, however since adding this oil cooler the temps are always quite low...even when it's 100+ degrees outside. Definitely worth the retail price, and an amazing deal here for a new in box item! Thanks eBay!!
