(Version 1) Works with Kali Linux and VM for pen testing
4 of 4 found this helpful Version 1 of this product was recommended highly for use with Kali Linux, but ONLY Version 1. I looked around to make sure I was getting the right product, and this one had the V1 in the description where others didn't necessarily specify. I was a little skeptical, but what I received was exactly what was promised and it works as advertised.
I use Kali Linux for pen testing, and I run it from a Virtual Machine (VMware Fusion) on a MacBook Pro. Kali will not recognize the internal WiFi from a VM, hence the need for an external USB source. This product was truly plug and play. Once inserted, it was recognized and I clicked to associate it with my VM. No other setup was required and it has performed flawlessly.
I can't speak to the needs of others (performance, price, compatibility, etc.) but for my needs (Kali Linux pen testing) it was just what I was looking for.
