Comparatively lightweight with good features
This sub kind of has a unique spot in what i would call "mid level" at a budget price. I decided on going with these subs due to their looks, build, and features.
Unlike the budget subs, this one isn't just a carpeted box with a speaker mounted in it... it offers a trapezoid shape, professional coating, nice logo incorporated into the grill, and and a solid build design...and unlike it's top brand competitors, it cost at least half and still weighs less at only 69 lbs. When subs hit that 80-100 lb range, it is just too much for a single sound guy to manage and setup.
My only conn is the low pass frequency is only selectable 160hz or below. I like to crossover around 250hz
What I would like to see manufacturers start doing, is putting a bypass into the subs so that you can use your own amp. This gives options for every event and it gives a backup if an amp goes out in the sub.
