good alternative
this little gadget is great if you like to fish in tight areas where an oar is not easily manuevered. It's geared at a 3 to 1 ratio and provided plenty of thrust for a small vessel.

excellent product
This little tomahawk is a great product for a very low price. I have been looking for a small camp axe. I liked the looks of the M48 Hawk axe but I didn't like the price and the rear "come hither" spike. Don't get me wrong, it's great for fighting tactics, but not for camping. lol What drew me to this axe is the fact that the handle is almost exactly like that of the M48 and the head is carbon steel unlike the M48's stainless steel head. I also liked the fact that the come hither spike on the back was of small diameter (this made for quick and easy removal with a metabo). I removed the spike and dressed the head on my belt sander and came out with what I would deem the best camp axe I have ever seen. It's small and unobtrusive, light and tough.
I burn wood to heat my home and often times need to split it down to size (the chunks are only about 9 inches long because I use an old potbelly stove). This axe handles the chore with ease.
If you want an axe to modify for your specific needs, then don't hesitate to buy this little beauty.

durable and powerful
these bands are of good quality, easily installed and will last a long time as they are heavy duty.
