Superb, compact, desk-top/mobile scanner
Superb, compact, desk-top/mobile scanner. Pre-programmed bands ready for scanning out of the box.
I don't live anywhere near the coast or airports, but by using an outdoor antenna on a 20ft pole, I'm hearing stuff from over 50 miles away. Obviously, if you live in a busy town or city, you're going to hear a lot more.
I'm assuming that the "utilities, emergency, weather" channels will be the American frequencies .....but I haven't checked - lol They'll probably have to be "user-programmed" at some time in the future.
Personally, I bought it for marine/airband scanning; and as far as that's concerned, I'm extremely happy with this little receiver.
