JD Transmission
I own a JD LA145 that's been used hard for 6-7 years. The John Deere dealer (Valley Truck & Tractor in Yuba City, Ca) wanted $730 for the transmission alone as part of an overall $2700 repair estimate - I bought it here for $600 and had my local repair shop (A & J Engine Repair in Loomis, Ca) put it in and fix everything the dealer was going to fix for $320 labor - $920 total - and it works great!
This saved me a ton of money. Now, I have my JD back working again for a third of the dealer's cost! The dealer actually tried to sell me a new D series tractor (the one's everyone is complaining about on the Internet) for $2200 instead of repairing the "old" one.
