Fascinating insight into the screen legend that was Steve McQueen.
This is a thoroughly detailed and researched biography on one of the all time screen legends. What an amazing insight into Steve McQueen the man, the actor, the husband, the lover, the father, the friend, what a truly fascinating and complex character he was. This biography, in my opinion, has been extremely well written and is thoroughly engaging for the reader - from the very first chapter I was hooked and just couldn't put it down. Would definitely recommend.

Great read - concise and well written
Very concise book written about one of the greatest actors of modern times. Straight-forward and easy to read, enough detail to make it interesting but not overdone so that it becomes tedious to read (which can sometimes happen when a writer produces a biography!) I found the content extremely compelling and feel I know much more about Morgan Freeman as a person rather than just as an actor - would recommend it.

Very engaging, beautifully written, very charming & humorous
Leslie Caron has written a very charming, honest and at times humorous autobiography. It is beautifully written and a very engaging read. I have seen many of the films she appeared in (mainly musicals) and so was eager to know a little more about her life. She comes across as a lovely lady totally unaffected by the Hollywood system and nature of business she was in. Many celebrities/stars of this era leave key things out of their autobiographies & some across as ego driven but Ms Caron's book is full of charming stories, various anecdotes about other celebrities and is full of humour, candour and most of all she comes across as an intelligent person who has integrity, is honest, warm and loyal.
