Sigma Pure 1 ATS Wireless Bicycle Computer

Too expensive for a basic unit with questionable reliability

I purchased this unit to replace a failed identical one I've been using for the last 2-3 years. It's transmitter is working ie sending pulses, the control unit is showing full display with the wireless symbol visible but it does not seem to recognise or count the pulses. I've changed both batteries, reset the unit but no change. After I ordered the new unit, the existing one started to display a speed value after riding the bike for some 30mins. However, after not riding the bike for a few weeks until today, it was still unable to read/display any speed. So, I will change it with the new unit and see how it goes, but I think the reliability and quality of this model is questionable. This unit also lacks a reading of average speed which I think should have been included as one of the basic functions to display. The price for the new unit was about 50% higher than my original unit and the shipping cost I think is a little too high, making it a too expensive for a basic cycle computer. On the good side, the sigma units have large font size which is easy to read and the installation/operation is easy.

Works OK but not suitable for 10mm hose

Specification could have been added that it was suitable only for 10mm dia hose. This unit is suitable for 6mm hose and will not fit a 10mm hose.
