1 of 1 found this helpful I have been using this toothbrush for years after a dentist recommended an electric toothbrush. I was brushing too hard and my gums were receding. I had another model of the Philips Sonicare in the past which was stolen from my hotel room. It is timed perfectly, no scrubbing required and my teeth are whiter without whitening treatments. I am very prone to cavities so I will do whatever it takes to maintain the teeth I was born with! I purchased a replacement base from ebay after a piece inside of mine broke (from years of rough use, travel and dropping) and it is perfect!
