28 minutes cut from original release
I keep a list of hard to find DVDs, and this was one of them. There are 2 versions of this available, but sadly, 28 minutes have been cut from the original 3 hours & 9 minute release, Both DVD versions are 2 hours & 41 minutes. But, for now, these are the only 2 versions available. (MGM & non MGM). Hopefully, one day, we will see the uncut version available on DVD. A very enjoyable film.

Great Series. Horrible packaging.
Everyone knows how entertaining this series is. What was most surprising is when I opened the DVD set, and about 6 discs came flying out. Horrendous packaging. Discs stacked in fours, hardly able to stay in the spindles. I had to take them out of the case and stack them all in a empty CDR case. I suggest you buy the series by seasons. This box set has terrible packaging.

Very good stereo versions of classic big band songs
This is a nice budget box set, if you would like to hear Glenn Miller & other big bands in stereo. The orchestra is anonymous. But, it does say 'BBC Presents'. Could be the BBC Big Band. The 6 discs average about 33 minutes a disc, so they obviously could have put all the selections on 3 CDs. But, for the budget price, I am swingin'. Great remakes of classics.
