A Classic
This is a classic, and the advice in it is still good. Dr. Dunbar knows dogs, and has a very pleasant way of telling others about dogs. I am re-reading some of his material in preparation for going to one of his seminars, and am struck at how well his ideas stand the test of time.

Great Little Instrument
This is a very nice ukulele for the price. It has a nice tone, and the willow laminate is quite beautiful. The finish is glossy everywhere but the fretboard. I live in an area where there are extreme temperature changes sometimes, and preferred the laminate top to a solid, but Ohana makes both. I'm looking forward to learning to play, and am already learning some chords and strumming patterns without too much pain in my fingertips. This is an easy instrument for a beginner like me to play, as the strings are nylon and they're close to the frets. There are some nice YouTube videos so you can listen to the tone before buying.

A Good Guide for Beginning Cat Fanciers
Barron's is recommended reading for college animal science courses in breed identification, and I really like that it has photos instead of just line drawings, plus shows cats in different poses. Limited information on genetics, and breed temperament, but enough for the beginner to get basic information as a foundation.
All in all, an excellent value for the money.
