Spend the little extra money and get what you deserve
2 of 2 found this helpful I had purchased a 3 cfm amazon website vacuum pump and was using for my vacuum press. it worked well, but was noisy and slower. I finally bought the Robinair 8 cfm which had been recommended on youtube by fellow vacuum pressers and it makes the world of difference. I don't even need a surge tank anymore as the Robinair depletes the air just as fast as the 3 cfm with a surge would. the noise is less and it is crafted well. highly suggest getting it for these kind of projects.
