Functional low profile card
1 of 1 found this helpful This card functions exactly as expected. However, I missed the fact that it has a low profile bracket and does not include a replacement full size one.

Some Disassembly Required
This adapter works well and does exactly what it says it will do. I've used it in my American NTSC front-loading NES and it did play my Famicom games correctly.
However, the PCB surrounds the Famicom connector at either side, preventing one from plugging a cartridge directly into the adapter. This means that connecting a Famicom game requires the removal of the game board from inside the cartridge.
If you're planning on making a permanent conversion for a single game cartridge, this adapter will do the trick. Remove the Famicom game board from its cartridge, plug it into this adapter, then put this conglomerate into an empty NES game shell. If you're planning on playing several different games Famicom games, there are more convenient solutions out there.
