It works better/faster than the factory Garmin unit.

Sound quality excellent, battery life long, but these Motorola Booms have problems
Only four things good about this Motorola Boom:
1. Excellent sound quality in both directions
2. Charges quickly and lasts over three hours talk time
3. Reception at least 50 feet
4. They can be purchased for $20
However:
1. The plastic hooks are cheaply made, come apart at the metal collar, rendering the earpiece useless
2. If the earpiece discharges, it often loses pairing and you have to re-pair with one or both cell phones
3. The earpiece filament cannot be molded, and the end of it digs into your ear
4. The boon microphone has excessive tension and is not easy to grip and open
5. It rarely rejoins your cell phone once your phone is turned off or out of range then in range. You have to reboot the earpiece
6. The earpiece does not allow good placement of the speaker to the ear canal because the metal collar allows for too much movement
7. I'm on my third unit in six months, because two of them refused to turn off when closing the microphone piece.
I never turned one in for repair nor replacement as new ones can be purchased for $20. The sound quality in both directions is so good, coupled with the good things above, will continue to purchase new ones. I use a heat gun to bend the earloop so that it is more comfortable.
