Don't waste your money like I did.
Sweetwater is the worst western I've ever seen. As much as I enjoyed Ed Harris in Appoloosa, which wasn't a real hit, Sweetwater was an absolute bomb. No wonder it is selling for bargain prices and free shipping.
So, why did I buy it? I figured it couldn't be all that bad for the price .... but I was wrong! However, it was cheaper to buy it than drive to the video store and rent it. Another reason, Ed Harris and Jason Isaacs are very good actors but their roles in this travisty were terrible. The sex scenes were uncalled for, the final shootout between Isaacs and Harris simultaneously killing each other was silly and the final ridiculous scene where the vengeful wife, played by January Jones, burns all her clothes on a bonfire with her back to the camera nude at which point the movie finally fades to black to end credits.
Don't waste your money .... not even to rent. I won't even donate it to Goodwill.

Great acting, story & entertainment, but playback contrast too dark.
The movie is a genuine treasure. BUT, 20th Century Fox produced this DVD too dark. You'll have to completely readjust your TV's brightness, contrast, color, advanced controls and picture mode to have a least a decent viewable movie. Even being played on a blu ray and HD TV it was sad. We tried 3 different TVs & 4 different players and it was still not comfortable viewing. Fox should recall this product and reissue it corrected.
