Amazing Quality Refurb
1 of 1 found this helpful You can honestly find more professional reviews of the MG279Q out there, but I'll give my opinion - This monitor is down right GORGEOUS. In general, if you have the GPU power to run 1440p natively at stable FPS, then you're doing yourself a disservice if you're still running on a 1080p monitor. If you can afford a 1440p panel (IPS a PLUS!), 144Hz refresh rate, DO IT. Not only do you get the benefit of cleaner, less aliased images even at something low like FXAA or just 2x MSAA, you also have the benefit of greater screen space on the desktop - that means more space for side-by-side windows for Word/Excel, and even web pages and streaming services if you have the processing power.
With this monitor being factory authorized refurbished, I actually think that's a good thing! Major issues with the monitor were most likely addressed, such as dead pixels or damaged screen. So currently the monitor is performing very well with no problems. Image quality is superb, and the OSD works as expected. The body of the monitor looks practically brand new, untouched. Only downside is it only came with a mini-DP to DP cord and power cable... Not sure if a brand new MG279Q comes with more than that, but the mini-DP works just fine.
Overall a great purchase for a fraction of MSRP!

Works Perfectly
Overview
Pros: Easy to install, came with enough screws and washers, 2 sets of 2 rubber pads (4 total pads), black finish is clean with no cosmetic imperfections at quick glance, sturdy when installed, does what it's supposed to.
Cons: Back of the support is unfinished (not glossy), so inverting the support is unattractive.
I bought this gpu support for my Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme. Being a gpu that takes up 2.5 PCI slots, it's way heavier than most gpus and droops at the unsupported end. Being too uncomfortable with that, I decided to get a support bracket, and this one works perfectly! Adding the little rubber nibs that actually make contact with the gpu was a little tricky. I had to use all four nibs, one on top of another, at two locations to get the card to stay perfectly straight. Also, the position of the support actually sat it going right below the fans, so the nibs had to be placed to support the gpu on the plastic between the fans. So if the gpu were to somehow shift while the fans are running, they're getting chopped up by the fans. But so far the card has kept pretty stable and no noticeable drooping or shifting.
Overall a fantastic buy. Great for any large gpu. The Zotac Amp Extreme is a real test to this support and passed my expectations.

Good Controller
This is the newer version, with the light bar peeking through the touch pad. Nothing much has changed beyond that - it's still the best PlayStation controller iteration. Much improved over previous PS controllers, with easier gliding joy sticks and altered L2/R2 from being buttons to more trigger-like form.
