1 of 1 found this helpful Being new to entry level professional photography, I enlisted the help of friends to help me decide which camera I should purchase that would be easy to use. After countless hours of research, I settled on the Nikon D60. From everything I found out and recommendations from friends, the verdic was that this is a great buy for an entry level photographer. This is my first DSLR camera and seems to be relatively easy to use. There are plenty of streaming vids available on this camera which really help to understand how to use it. Also, several companies have produced "how to" dvd's specific to the D60 and I plan on acquiring a few. The camera is light weight and holds in the hand well. Also, the D60 comes standard with the "vibration reduction" lens which is highly preferred. End result, I like it and as soon as the weather here in Alaska gets a little warmer, I'm going to start filling up some SD cards.
