Bite The Bullet, Pay The Price, and Be Done Without Buggering The Gun
I was reluctant to buy the tool based on price. A water heater element removal tool is very similar and costs about half the price. But - - - having used it to install a Streamlight TL-Racker I'm sure they could ask another $10 for the tool and anybody who has tried that install without it would gladly pay. It Does The Job. I'd be hard pressed to come up with a way to install the TL without this tool.
