I don't think I can eat bacon anymore... this book is that GOOD, GOOD

Oh my goodness what an UNEXPECTED DELIGHT! This book is charming and I purchased it solely on the cover and the title. I just had a feeling I would love it and it's like reading a book written by a "soul-self". The author, Sy Montgomery has a deep love for animals and I find her and her family's experience with Christopher Hogwood, an extraordinary pig who changed her life absolutely captivating. As far as buying a "used" book. I find it charming this book is from a library and still has the check out card in the back of the book. It makes the book more endearing to me and I can't wait to add it to my personal collection.

Great value at $5 (original cost of this book is $25). It's full of beautiful photos and thoughtful writing explaing 37 different cabins, some of which are historical. I got the book to be inspired visually, but I have enjoyed the writing much more than I expected. I highly reccomend this and am very happy to add this into my library! I would have given 5 stars, yet the book smells as if it has been from a home of a smoker. I ordred two other books which smell just fine. I have a tip about putting the book in a ziploc bag with a charcole filter (typicaly sold for fish aquariums) to neturalize smoke odor. I just happen to have both a ziploc bag and an unused filter like this... so why not try. If I am able to update this review later, I will share how it worked!
