Kathryn Kuhlman’s Legacy Lives!
Unforgettable for (what she herself called) her “Heart to Heart” talks on national radio, as well as her national weekly televised “I Believe in Miracles” (CBS), the Kathryn Kuhlman we witness in “In Search of Blessings” offers for our consideration how the teachings of Christ’s Beatitudes, made manifest in our everyday life choices, can become Life’s guiding principles. Offering our ongoing human challenges, routine and profound, as a poignant backdrop, Ms. Kuhlman speaks directly not only to our minds, but to our very human hearts. In the chapter titled “Blessed Are They Who Mourn,” for instance, the author explains how periods of “mourning” may encompass so much more than a response to mere physical death. Viewed as “death to self” or surrender to “God’s Perfect Will,” mourning within this context allows God to work through us and accomplish great things. In her discourse on “Blessed are the Meek,” Kathryn reminds us that meekness or obedience to, as opposed to rebellion against, God’s laws or plans for our lives, is indeed a strength which yields ultimate peace, as conformity on a higher moral ground finally allows God to unravel the knots in our lives.
The invigorating spirit of the late Kathryn Kuhlman rises again in this gem of a guide to practical, meaningful Christian living. In this age of hunger and thirst for God, it’s no wonder that the author of “In Search of Blessings,” truly one of God’s anointed, is making the remarkable comeback she so deserves. (As the interdenominational Kathryn would say, a comeback not at all her own, but one of the extraordinary “Holy Spirit,” in whom the countless faithful share a belief.)

“Christy” — A Gem
A beautifully orchestrated drama series, about real people...compellingly portrayed...about the power of faith to sustain us through our deepest trials and setbacks. On every level, this series was consummately crafted, not to mention: set amid the stunning mountain landscape of Tennessee. The only question in one’s mind is why a drama so beloved and with such potential (so much room to grow) did not continue to air on CBS , at least for another handful of seasons. No answer to that could possibly satisfy; where there is a will, there is a way. Fine art should be brought to fruition. CBS or some network should bring it back — snatch it up once again — with incomparable members of the original cast: principals Tyne Daly, Kellie Martin, Diane Ladd, Randall Batinkoff, Stewart Finlay-Mc Lennan, as well as the impressive supporting actors. The scripts will continue to inspire, as they move the characters and their encounters forward in time.👌🏻
