Robust and High Quality. For portrait, it may be the best for micro 4/3 by manual focus !
1 of 1 found this helpful Beautiful photos particular for in-door & low light condition. Shorter focal distance and wider aperture allows more possibilities which no other lens can match. However, in terms of value for money, it is hard to beat my Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake or Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro for general use. No doubt, weight is a concern as it is difficult to get a good balance on my light-weight Olympus PL-7. May be I still need to learn more how to get the best out of this lens. Above all, Volgtlander is a classic of its own - you either love it or hate it.

Tool for Special Use
1 of 1 found this helpful In general, focusing with my PEN pl-7 is OK using its built-in rear monitoring screen. However, in companion with Voigtlander 42.5mm, Olympus 60mm marco or Olympus 75-300mm tele zoom, addition of VF-4 is sometimes necessary.
VF-4 can indicate clearly whether the subject is in focus even in extreme bright/dark environment. Also, it allows the user to conduct high precision manual focusing with very shadow D.O.F. On top of it, you can press your face close against the back of the camera which keep the camera steady for low shuttle speed shooting. In general, VF-4 is enjoyable to use which increases the "FUN" factor in routine shooting.
