Great value but well made
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought 2 of these. I wanted easy to read weather stations for upstairs and downstairs. Some weather stations are very complicated and include moon phases, barometric pressure, dates, graphs etc. This one doesn't. It shows the time, temperature in and out, humidity in and out, and in the corner it guesses at the weather (picture of a cloud, rain, sun etc). That's all you get.
I was surprised that the weather station picked up the remote (outside) sensor almost instantly. I'm used to a lot of faff to get the remote sensor recognised, but not this one.
The clock sets itself up by radio control, but by default it sets itself to Germany time (UK time +1). It's a simple matter to correct this by changing the "Time Zone" setting to -1. If there is no radio reception, you can set the time manually, but still set the time zone because if radio contact is restored, it will override the manual settings.
The weather picture shows sunny, light cloudy, cloudy or rainy. It works these out based solely on the outside temperature and humidity. So don't expect great accuracy!
All in all I am very pleased with this. At the price I wasn't expecting it to be such good quality, but it is.
