Some details need adjusting
This 10-year service pip has a high quality in manufacturing, and for the price you just can't beat it with a stick. However, some of the details are off. It should be slightly larger than the plain ribbed 1-year service pip (or "5-year service pip", depending on who you ask; "Mr. Scott's Guide to the Enterprise" refers to the plain pip as a 1-year of service, and the "squeak" as the 5-year, so that's what I go with). I bought the 1-year pip, 5-year squeak, and the 10-year pip, and while the 1-year and 5-year pins are accurate in detail and size, one of the details that's off on this 10-year pip is that it's a bit too small. (One of the Roddenberry replicas, which matches the on-screen 10-year pips exactly, measures 1/2-inch in diameter. This 10-year pip offered here is only 5/16th-inch in diameter, smaller than the 3/8th-inch diameter 1-year pip.) Another detail that's off is the Starfleet arrowhead; this pip has it recessed whereas it should be raised. The final detail that's off is the rim that encircles the outer edge of the pip. If the makers of this 10-year pip took their 1-year pip, added the 1/16th-inch thick raised rim around the outside of it, and placed the Starfleet arrowhead on the ribs, I think it would make this 10-year pip closer to screen accurate in detail and size. The price and quality, and the shipping and packaging of this pip is what earns it a 4-star rating. If the details were a bit better I would have given it a 5 (possibly a 5+).

Sounds, lights, action!!
This is a great replica of the 15th Doctors sonic screwdriver! It's the right size, has a good hand feel and the pop out screens with the lights and sounds are alot of fun.

Elegant Christmas Ornament!
This is a gorgeous hanging ornament. It is so detailed, so realistic, I wish it were full size to have tea with! Perfect for anyone who loves Downton Abbey, or just loves tea! It is a tad heavy, so place it on a good supportive branch.
