You get what you pay for here
I purchased this pump and installed it on a one ton dump truck to replace the previous pump. I am pretty disappointed with it.
The fittings were metric (m18 1.5) thread which is hard to source. I pulled the fittings out and the valve block had 1/4” NPT threads so that was easily solved.
The motor is not grounded to the case which means you must run a ground wire and hot wire to the motor. I believe this is so you may run it at 24 or 12 volts. Just a little inconvenient.
Once installed it moved extremely slowly. The add says 2 GPM but it takes 1:45 minutes to extend a 5” cylinder 14” which is barley 0.7 GPM. That is dumping the bed with no load. Lowering the bed took 1 min 30 sec.
It does provide plenty of hydraulic pressure though so no complaints there.
I run the dump bed pretty regularly so the cycle time is annoying. When it wears out I will replace with an American made pump. All in all this pump is functional but I would recommend a better quality pump for anyone who doesn’t want to wait all day for the bed to go up.
