William Ackerman - Hearing Voices
I've been a fan of William Ackerman for many years, going right back to the early days of Windham Hill. I find his guitar style most compelling and his wandering musical style is a perfect backdrop for quiet comtemplation and meditation but with a substance and atmosphere lacking in some New Age titles.
This album is rather different in that this time William Ackerman combines his musical poetry with real voices. It works beautifully right from the very first track which features the breathtaking vocal talents of Happy Rhodes. It continues with an exploration of diverse vocal styles from around the world which gives each track its own identity whilst at the same time retaining the hallmark sound of Ackerman's guitar playing.
If you enjoy the music of William Ackerman then I regard this album as a must have. Highly recommended.

An interesting suite of products with great potential. Just needs more work on the software.
An interesting design with numerous setup options and also with the advantage of swappable key switches. I found the original switches less than ideal and so I upgraded them to Gateron Yellow Pro 2.0 and that really helped. Now it's easily the best typing experience I've ever had and it still worked out a lot cheaper than a complete custom keyboard build. My one criticism is the Base Camp software which is still bug-ridden and lacking features (especially for the DisplayPad device). I wish the developers would commit to a regular update schedule and get those bugs fixed. It spoils an otherwise premium experience. Good hardware is nothing without good software!

Superb album for late night reflection & contemplation. Genius songwriting.
Having been totally captivated by his debut album Passing Stranger in 2006 I've been a fan ever since. His 2011 release What The Night Delivers is moody, pensive and (as the title suggests) perfectly suited to late night listening. The melodies and vocals are as strong as ever. The songwriting is just superb, as is the production. I've probably listened to this album more times now than Passing Stranger. That says it all really. If you love the music of Scott Matthews you probably already own this. If you've never heard of him check out Elusive or Ballerina Lake and prepare to be amazed and bewitched.
