Best Product to Create Realistic Miniature Pine Trees!
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this dried Princess Pine to make a professional-looking dollhouse Christmas tree and even though I had never done this before and wasn't sure of the results. Well, it was really easy to work with.
So this is what I did: I looked at the different stems of the Lycopodium and started with the longest ones, cutting them into "branchlike pieces." Starting from the bottom of a stiff bottle brush pine, but first removing a lot of the green modelling turf by pulling it off the stiff filaments, I stuck the end of the Princes Pine branch into a pile of glue (used Wellbond, which is a thick white glue) and pushed it into the tree towards the trunk. I kept doing this rotating the tree and selecting the appropriate length and color to create a realistic effect. I avoided pieces with too much curl, but these can be used as you get to the top of the tree because you need single and much shorter pieces. The branches at the bottom of the tree had 4 to 5 extensions and as I moved up towards the middle of the tree, I cut pieces with 2 to 3 extensions and the top were branches with 1 or 2 extensions and gradually shortening the length according to the shape of the tree. I endeavored to have an in-and-out branch effect too. There is a little trimming at the end just to even it all up a bit. Also, there is a right-side up and bottom side of the Princess Pine pieces.
One bunch of Lypopodium will suffice to create at least a 9'' tall pine tree.

Corduroy jeans hold a good shape, and does not stretch and distort.
These are really nice, fine-lined pin whale corduroy jeans. Great color and fit. The fabric seems to be of good quality and is soft, yet holds shape and does not distort! I purchased these jeans in Gray and Burgundy colors too. Will purchase other colors if they become available and as long as the Manufacturer does not cheapen the quality of fabric!
