Must have for 10/22
4 of 4 found this helpful I know this gets said a lot, but really, this should be the first thing anyone adds to a new 10/22. I kept having FTE, stovepipes, and jamming with my Ruger with different ammo types (mostly use Federal and CCI). I first suspected dirty magazines since some didn't seem to feed past the lips.
I bought this extractor, and could see the difference right away- the factory extractor was a little janky and not very precise, and the Volquartsen has a perfect edge. I ran nearly 300 CCI bulk rounds through it next time and had zero problems whatsoever, both slow and fast fire.

Works on Takedown, with a bit of work!
Bought this to put on my 10/22 Takedown, and it was just a few minutes with a saw and dremmel to get it fitted right for the receiver side. Love the look and feel of it, leaves way more room in the Takedown bag. I fold the stock over the outside of the large pouch, can fit more stuff in there now. Heavier than the factory stock of course, if that matters to you.
The only downside that I gave it a 4 for was that the rubber cap blocking the grip cavity is rather loose, it just fell out (didn't have anything stored in there, luckily) while going through my first 25 round mag. It's not like a 22 has much recoil, so for it to just slip out like that makes it feel like the storage compartment is useless without some modifications.
