Marion Ravenwood - I Need One of the Pieces your Father Collected

The early figures released in the 2008 Indiana Jones line suffered from poor quality control and what some would consider atrocious paint operations. This figure is no exception. However, under the horrible paint applications are decent sculpts of these iconic figures. I was able to clean up the eye and eyebrow painting with an exacto knife know thinning the thickness of the eyebrows and removing excess white paint for the eyes. I also added more paint for the hair along the side of the face. These minor adjustments vastly improved the overall appearance of the figure and made her more presentable as Marion as opposed to the bug-eyed, thick eyebrow, and skin colored hair action figure she was originally. This figure also could have benefited from articulated knees as this was an outfit in which she was required to perform a lot of action sequences. I am glad I have the figure but Hasbro could have done much better that what they delivered.

Yak face Reproduction

Very pleased with this reproduction piece for my collection. The casting and painting of the figure fits well with the rest of my collection. It is a good option for me, as a real piece is out of my price range. While there is no articulation with the figure, that is not a problem for me as it is a part of a static display. And as a background character it does its job well of filling a hole in my displayed collection.
