Excellent quality and value
This is a simple part which makes a huge difference, because when the rubber wears out, the engine will leak coolant incessently. This part did the trick and after replacement, everything is once again well sealed and the engine compartment dry.

Exact fit, no need to mod anything
This part is an exact fit for the front right door of a BMW E39. You have to transfer the motor from the old unit, which is fine. Pull it out of the old one, carefully align the teeth on the gear, push it in, and reattach the holding screws. Unlike another unit which I ordered earlier in the year, this one comes with the mounting screws which bolt onto the bottom of the door. The previous one used screws different from the factory unit, which required me to scrounge the two bolts off of a spare Toyota engine I had lying around. :)
NOTE: VERY important. Be sure to run through the alignment procedure after installing the regulator! Loosen the bottom screws, reconnect the wiring, and let the glass run up and down a couple of times, until it and the regulator can properly seat themselves. THEN and only THEN, tighten the bottom screws. And be sure to use locktite blue on both the bottom screws, and on the mounts which hold the window glass in place. This alignment procedure will prevent the window glass from bumping or getting caught on the seals during its travels, which over time causes it to loosen from the regulator, which eventually will cause it to slip out!
