A laugh at Natal policing in the mid-1900s
The entire story is of mute to no value to a non-South African. A reader needs a prior knowledge of the subtleties and under-currents of life in the 1950-60s Apartheid era. Whilst a light hearted and tongue-in-cheek theme it is so very well founded on ever-so-true everyday facets of Afrikaner run policing of society and eloquently, yet harshly, illustrates the innumerable idiosyncrasies of the hypocritical controlling regime, rife with its confounding jaw-dropping stupidities.

Rigid shower door bottom seal strip
Fits snug, usual quality, will probably only last a few years, and as such its all very expensive and labour intensive.
Much better than the soft, flexible, rubbery seal strips, which can drop/slip off very easily.

Better than the original publication; a BRILLIANT book
If you like survival stories then this is thoroughly absorbing and an amazing human undertaking and endurance. This book basically contains the original book story and now the story voiced from the other members; and so well written. Its brilliant. It's a stunning true story, of human survival in a profoundly dire situation and exemplifies the never-give-up syndrome, and illustrates what can be achieved with nout more than gutsy determination and resolute focus.
Undoubtedly all the 'crew' members owe their salvation to the 'dad'. He really did navigate them back towards land, extremely successfully from a 'zero' starting point in the 'middle-of-the-Pacific', bereft of any navigation equipment, and an inadequate vessel(s) with no propulsion, just his superb and accurate mental recollection of the charts' currents and prevailing winds! Mast, sail, steerage, buoyancy, log keeping, feeding, health, they cleverly improvised; and completely successfully into the bargain.
