I am listed as new member but have been a member of Ebay for over 12 years. In November 2011 I found out that Ebay had lost my member details and all my records of purchases and good feedback. Had to re apply with new name ID. Bad Ebay.

A cheap used one is good fun.
I bought a used body for the specific purpose of using my numnerous old OM1 lenses on a reasonably sized format digital camera. I find that I dont need more than 7.5 megs. Most of the time I am using much lower size pics. I paid 200 which was very good value for money. My old OM1 lenses are acting at approx 1.6 x focal length so my old 50 mm Zuiko is now effectively approx 85 mm My old 28mm is now effectively circa 50mm It has rekindled my interest in photography. Using it as a manual camera I have had to re-learn all the old 1/16th exposure rules and I am getting quite good at it. Initially I was using bracketed exposures with 2/3 steps, so I stood a good chance of getting at least one of the three right. Now I am judging the light conditions almost right without the need for bracketting. It is fun to use. Not for anybody who wants to point and shoot. You have to think about it and you cant put it in your top pocket. It is relatively heavy which in my opinion helps reduce camera shake. You cant put it in your top pocket. Good battery life. Good direct and bounce flash features. I use preview a lot so dont use (and therefore am not too fussed about) the rather restricted viewfinder. Very good manual focussing system. You can get it dead right by expanding the view 4x or 10x whilst you focus before taking the shot. I put in an 8Gig HDSD card and that for me is much too big. I will never use that amount of memory. I think the more modern and M4/3's are much more compact than this but of course they are costing 3-4 times as much. This is worth considering if you have old SLR lenses lying around. If you need very high quality high meg pixel pictures, i.e. you intedn to do a lot of cropping and blowing up, then 7.5M probably is not enough for you. Good experience.
