A Great Buy at a Fabulous Price
I have 3 Kovacs desk lamps. They are all metal, high quality, and have served me well for years without failure. They sell for over $200. I searched for a 4th desk lamp and naturally started with Kovacs. Then I found this one. I was very skepitcal because of the low price and the description that included plastic. However, for $27 I decided to take the risk. When I opened the box the first piece I took out was indeed plastic - the upright piece. However I was relieved to find that the second piece - the base - was solid heavy metal.I'm very pleased with the lamp and don't understand how other manufacturers selling units for over $200 can compete.
