Secret Weapon Revealed!
1 of 1 found this helpful The Schaffer Replica pedal is the result of much research and effort by SoloDallas to find the secret sauce that was behind many of our favorite guitarists' tone and response (not just Angus Young), with many well known artists adding it to their rig now. I find it allows me to use less distortion with better response and dynamic touch, increased sustain without losing bite, and cleans up nicely without a lot of treble loss when rolling off the guitar volume. I get my gain from all tube amps (no distortion/overdrive pedals), and this is just the ticket to bring it all home. I do not record or perform without one. This is my second, and they've actually improved the unit to be quieter (was already quiet) than the original. A must have.

Boss MD-2 Distortion Pedal
0 of 3 found this helpful I used a lot (well, a full pedalboard) of Boss pedals in the late '70s to mid '80s, and I always found them to be very reliable.
That said - this particular pedal not only seemed to rob tone from my rig (Gibson LP, Vintage Dean V, Vintage Kramer Pacer through a Marshall), but the distortion was muddy; no real distinction of notes; very 'canned' sounding.
I resold it locally easily enough, and replaced it with a Hardwire Distortion. Nice edge; great harmonics & note definition. Won't be adding anymore Boss pedals to my board, unless they revolutionize their designs.

Keeps It Hot or Cold & Easy To Clean
Have had this bottle for a season now. Keeps liquids hot or cold a long time. Best part is that the mechanism can be taken apart and cleaned. Had to dispose of similar bottles due to things growing in the dispensing mechanism that could not be cleaned. Very easy to use one handed.
