GENERAL ALTIMAX ARCTIC
This is the third set of General Altimax Arctic snow tires I have owned. They are outstanding snow tires for the price and they are not cheap junk. I have run them for 4 winters on my 2008 Nissan Frontier 4X4 and just bought a set for my wife's 2002 Outback. Best snow tire I have ever run. I have been driving for 30+ years ,from upstate NY to where I live now in Southern CO. I feel safe and in control and now I don't worry about my wife being safe in her Subaru.
They are quiet, super sticky and stop very well in snow and ice. I have never used studs in them but they are stud-able.
Major siping in the lugs moves lots of water and work just as good in rain as they do in snow.
Think twice before buying the expensive Hakkapeliitta or Michelin snows. These are awesome and a steal for the price!
