DCC-2900 lid problem
1 of 1 found this helpful I really like this coffee maker. It's looks great in the kitchen next to my other Cuisinart appliances and makes delicious coffee fast but the lid has a crazy problem. It constantly pops off the springs where it is attached in the back thus opening up the brewing chamber. This started just two weeks after it arrived. Nothing appears to be broken it just won't stay attached. With a little struggle you can fit/push it back on but then in the middle of brewing it makes a super loud noise (pop!) and it's off the springs again. This is a serious defect as well as a major daily annoyance. According to Google, others have this problem as well. My daily coffee needs to be hassle free. It is under warranty but what am I supposed to do for coffee every day if it has to be returned? I'm not happy that this brand new machine is defective.
