Better design than nearest competitors
I bought the VonShef about a month ago and I am very happy with my choice. I was replacing a Duronics model that, although still working, had developed holes at the side of the bigger hotplate - and this didn't seem safe to me. So I was pleased to find that the VonShef was an improvement on the Duronics - it has 5 temp settings (where Duronics had only 3) and it regulates the temp more effectively. It can sustain a simmer heat - with my old hotplate I found it necessary to switch the power off for 10 minutes periodically in order to keep it from escalating to a boiling mode.

Cheap and cheerful and it works
I was curious about this egg timer and I am glad I bought it. Item arrived in good time - al things considered.

Good quality
Bought this for playing TV audio through HIFI speakers and it has worked very well.
