Great product and easy to assemble

Ordered this for Christmas. My wife was super thrilled. Cam in a bunch of boxes, but nothing was damaged so well packaged. Opened up the boxes, read the instructions, and watched a video online so assembly was really easy. Even if you did not watch a video, the instructions were clear and the whole assembly is kind of self evident. A novice should have no issues. Once together the machine fit on the frame perfect. The instructions gave clear directions on how to adjust all the rails to ensure all motions are smooth. But honestly everything was good and didn’t have to adjust anything. Attaching the encoders and powering up the machine went quickly as well. It took about an hour to get everything set up. It took longer to load the first quilt than assemble frame and machine. My wife was super excited to start the machine. The machine manual came with these laminated quick sheets so if you do not like reading a manual, I felt the sheets were perfect. My wife read the manual front to back before starting. Everything ready, she started quilting! The only complaint was the styrofoam packing sticks to everything because of static. So get your vacuum out while unpacking.

Good looking, but not for the beginner.

This is a very nice looking kit when assembled and motorized. Pros, the kit is complete as is and displays nicely. Cons, the motorization is a separate purchase (recommended). Pros, very detailed. Cons, the parts are very small and very hard to assemble and glue. Pros, all moving parts function well. Cons, when painting, the moving parts have to be considered. Pros, tests and advances your modeling skills. Cons, tests the limit of your modeling skills as the parts are very small. Overall, I would recommend this kit as a good addition to your layout or diorama. Be aware, this is not an easy-peasy project and will require patience and attention to detail. The instructions are sufficient, but are not very exhaustive. So trial fit and think ahead on the assembly. Good luck.
