Make pruning a joy!

I’m so happy I finally purchased these secateurs, after first reading about them 7 or 8 years ago, I thought they sounded very good, but were too expensive to justify the cost. Over the last 8 years I’ve worn out or broken 4 pairs of cheaper secateurs, 2 of which were made by well known manufacturers. And two pairs of heavy duty loppers. My garden isn’t huge, but I do have shrubs, climbers, soft fruit, roses and a small orchard to maintain. Sometimes walking along the paths is like battling a jungle! I’ve only used these secateurs for an hour, but I’ve experimented with different hardness and thickness of material and they cut like a dream. Every cut was clean and effortless. The spring action and the gentle curve of the handle fits with the flex of my hand perfectly. I’m looking forward to using this again tomorrow, and hopefully for many , many years to come. My only criticism is that they are on the small side for my feminine hand, but I do do a lot of gardening and my hands are probably on the beefy side. If I was buying them again, I’d chose the larger size. Happy pruning!

It’s about time!

Finally we have an accurate clock! This is a basic value for money clock which always has the correct time at a glance. My only criticism is the lack of any instructions. Getting the clock to work caused a great deal of puzzlement and frustration. After lengthy consultation of many websites I left the apparently lifeless clock, battery installed overnight. The next morning it was dutifully working away and telling the time. That’s all you have to do, simple but not that obvious! It just takes a while to get going. Our previous clock was purchased in 1963, I hope this one will last as long.
