lovely vintage dishes
I love vintage dishes and these are exquisite. They arrived beautifully and we are enjoying them tremendously. They mix and match with other English china I have.

Susan Branch books
Susan Branch writes lovely little collections of recipes, stories, and drawings. Each and every page is done by hand - she does not 'make one flower and then copy and paste.' Rather, she meticulously draws each and every little petal, face, expression, and detail, making her books each a work of art!
I am completely inspired by her intricate designs and the gracious way she brings her life into her work. If you love cottage designs and are inspired by yummy recipes that evoke a time gone past, you'll love her books.
This Christmas, I was given a tea set that she designed - it is an heirloom for certain and it touched my heart more than I can say...more so because the wonderful man who gave it to me searched far and wide for the pieces to make a set...I am truly blessed.

Sacred Contracts by Caroline Myss
Caroline Myss' Sacred Contracts is an in depth 'look' into how we, and individuals on this planet, incarnated into the world. It is another way of realizing that we all have a mission, a plan, and that we can evoke guidance by listening to our 'gut' and our angels.
Caroline's ability to 'teach' comes from her earliest beginnings where she tells the story that being a child of the 50's meant that her parents, her father in particular, said that she should be a teacher or a nurse. These professions were the only ones that a woman should consider at that time in our country. Caroline rejected his wishes and became a publicist with her own company. Fate...or her calling, brought her back to her true gift, teaching the world about reaching our highest potential and that that potential does not come in the form of a job in all cases.
This is a book that one must read over and over again, more like a reference than a novel. Hear her tapes as well because her sense of humor comes through in an amazingly refreshing way. She takes no 'guff' from her listeners or readers and expects each and everyone of us to own our lives and our own futures. As a teacher myself, I hail her attitude and her recommendations and I only hope that just a touch of what she has to teach us has entered into my own soul.
This is a GREAT read--but you have to have an open mind and an open heart and most of all, you have to WANT to learn. With that said, this is a TEN!
