Fast Drying, Great Color, Very Easy Application
Gorgeous color by Guerlain. A La Parisienne (#263) is one of their more famous colors; it's a highly pigmented, but not overly bright, poppy color whose base is pink in most lights, but also can resemble variations of red, orange, tomato and coral.
The application brush is slightly flattened for easy application, and the formula is surprisingly fast-drying. One good coat gives plenty of color, but two gives the best color and most polished look, and it's extremely easy to do two coats with the fast drying formula (I always manage to smudge my nails, and that is *not* a problem with this polish).
It dries to a smooth, satin finish. If you want a glossy wet look, you will need to use an additional top coat.
I'd also recommend a base coat to extend the polish's life on your nails. Not sure if it stains nails because I've always used a base coat before applying.
I can't whole-heartily call a "good value" because $25 is a lot for a nail polish. It's not a bad value, either, but "meh" wasn't on the menu. It's an excellent quality nail polish, and it's appropriately priced for a market where you can expect to pay upwards of $15-$45 for designer brands. Unfortunately, many designer brands' quality does not match the inflated price (ahem.. Chanel), but that isn't the case here. If you want to spend the $$, you won't be disappointed. Great polish.
