For African Violets
1 of 1 found this helpful I'm using this for my African violets. Mixing 50/50 perlite and peat moss for a soiless medium. works great so far and also works wonders for leaf propagation! Peat moss is light and doesn't compact too much even when wet, perfect for plants that need some airy root room to grow properly.

Good for wick watering
I am using this for wicking my African violets, it's easy to use and doesn't rot away like organic materials. Only down side is once the twine is cut it unravels easily, a quick burning of the cut ends over a lit candle makes everything much easier.
