Decent sound, clips a bit too loose but otherwise comfortable, lasted almost 2 years before breaking
2 of 2 found this helpful For a $9 purchase, these were actually a wonderful value. I used them a lot, and took the best care of them I possibly could, and they served me well. A few months ago, they finally died, and I still haven't replaced them yet. The sound was just fine, they were comfortable, and I was really glad to have over-ear headphones that allowed me to listen in only one ear at a time or in both ears, and not have something inside my ear (I can't believe how it's become the status quo for everyone to have something shoved in their ears all the time; it's not healthy!). The foam pads over the ear speakers were nice and comfortable but would frequently come off and had to be fiitted over the speaker again, but they retained their stretchiness and shape so it was always easy enough to re-fit them over the hard plastic speakers them. The curved clips that hold the speaker to the ear would start to pop off from time to time toward the end, but to reattach them was easy enough, the ball fit back in the socket to reattach. But the clips did get more and more loose over time, until they really did not keep any tension to hold the speaker close to the ear. I would have found a way to deal with that, but finally after about two years of using these sweet little headphones pretty regularly, I started to notice sound was only in one ear, and soon after that even the one ear was too disconnected to hear. I wish I knew how to work on electronics to fix them. I'll try to figure out how to recycle them. Or use them in an art project. Planned obsolescence, such a great pillar of commerce. But these headphones lived a long and good life, probably longer than the life they were designed to live. Rest in peace, Koss KSC7 Headphones.
