Good shooter solo, Great shooter with friends.
2 of 2 found this helpful It's basically a third person version of Borderlands with a more serious tone as far as settings and style. Only real complaint about the game is that it is always online even if you are playing solo. Which means, you cannot pause the game when real life decides to interrupt you. It also means you cannot play the game when they do maintenance on the game.

A good game if you haven't experienced better.
1 of 2 found this helpful For the price, Guild Wars is a solid game. Many others would say that it is the best Free to Play MMO out there. Unfortunately, it certainly isn't close to being the best MMO of them all.
If you play this after playing a Pay to Play MMO like World of Warcraft or Everquest, you are going to be disappointed because the game just isn't up to par with what you are used to.
Although there are many people on the game who definitely obsessed with Guild Wars and absolutely love it. Usually a person playing this over a better MMO is due to:
1.) This is all they've ever tried and they loved it enough not to want to try anything else.
2.) They don't want to pay a monthly fee for a different MMO.
3.) They don't have the money for a different MMO.
It's not a terrible game, but it's not good enough to keep me playing it.
