The seller described the item as in “open box” condition. Insinuating that it hadn’t been used and was complete. When in fact it shows a fairly large amount wear with scratches on the console (see pics) and the controller. It was also missing the power cable and HDMI cable which the box shows included. To top it all off, the seller stuck the return label directly to the items own box and shipped it. He didn’t even wrap it in paper so the box arrived beat up, dirty, with a sticker I can’t remove!

Better writing and plot development than expected...
Better writing and plot development than expected - plus - it's funny as sin! You've got a hero you can relate to and a problem you come to care about. If you're looking for dumb and dumber you're in the wrong place. But if you like a fun, smart flick with a lot of laughs than I bet you'd really enjoy this one!

It's a great experience of a film, mostly...
This DVD came highly recommended by someone I had never heard of before - someone off e-bay. They were reviewing another BBC release and mentioned this one. So I bought it, a feat I find particulary daring based on such anomina, but hey, life is boring so why not, right? I popped it in when it arrived today, mostly out of boredom and suddenly I was hooked. It's a great story with some really likable characters that are easy to relate to. They do grea things with still pictures - in and of itself, a great accomplishment for a movie. But enough about technicalities. The story follows the sale and conversion of a building and it's large collection of photographs, but wrapped up in there are the sub plots of the collections possible seperation, loss or destruction, and the one man who realizes that the archive holds a dark family secret for an unsuspecting innocent... It was, all in all, well worth the money and I'm sure to pass it around to my friends. A great movie for anyone who cares about art, history or just making a connection.

I didnt want to like it...
I read this authors Maya Cosmogenisis and came away suitably impressed. After reading the write up for this book I just assumed that the author had taken some 'new age' vvenue to new book sales. And it looks like I was wrong. If anything, John Major Jenkins seems to have grown in to more of an academic since 'Maya'. And while he is not a university sponsored researcher, he has devoted so much time to the subject that it's hard not to admit his authority is genuine. Plus, he does a very good job of explaining himself in terms anyone can follow, something quite beyond many 'pure' academics in this field. I'm only a few chapters in but I've already, begrudgingly, laid my preconceptions aside and found myself immersed in the new knowledge and possibilites presented in this text. It picks up very well where 'Maya' left off, recapping quickly and then showing how that information may relate when compared with various religious traditions and beliefs. Right now, it's well worth the read. And come Dec 21, 2012 - You might be glad you did.
